Please plan on joining joining us Thursday January 23, 2014 as we welcome Christian mathematician Dr. Satyan Devadoss dialoging with Cal Poly Physics professor Dr. Peter Schwartz on science, faith and altruism.
· 4:00-5:00pm UU 216: Faculty Commons SLO welcome reception. This is an opportunity for Christian professors to welcome and meet Satyan, and pray together for the evening program.
· 7:30-9:00pm Chumash Auditorium: our evening program features Satyan Devadoss dialoging with Peter Schwartz, followed by Q&A from the audience – with an opportunity for further discussion afterwards. Doors open at 7pm and this is open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the campus community.
Founded at Harvard University in 1992, the Veritas Forum is an annual academic event at Cal Poly that seeks to “engage students and faculty in discussions about life’s hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life.”
