G-3 = Groups of Three

A G-3 is a group of three Christian faculty members meeting regularly (weekly, or every other week) to give, grow, and pray.  A G-3 is committed to:

• give: to whom can you give away your faith?  Who has God placed in your spheres of influence?

• grow: what has God been teaching you from His Word, and from others?

• pray: pray together about these things, and for other needs and concerns.

The small group format makes it easier to find a time when three individuals can meet.  The group can grow in size, and then divide and create another group.

A G-3 is intentional.  Its purpose is to help the members focus on God’s purpose for their lives.

It is relational, connecting you with other Christian faculty members on campus, either in your department, your college – or with those in completely unrelated fields.

It is developmental, creating a place for members to grow toward maturity in Christ in the context of their work, and together wrestle with the question: “why has God called me to the secular academy?”
